ThoughtMatter, a NYC-based independent design and creative studio, known for its social impact-driven approach, will host a creative rally at its new hand-painted mural in the Brooklyn Navy Yard to amplify the importance of reproductive rights and encourage New Yorkers to vote YES on Proposition 1. Adapted from Gustave Courbet’s “The Origin of the World,” the provocative mural makes clear that reproductive rights are the most important issue on the ballot in New York and across the country this election. Courbet’s piece has a tumultuous history as a symbol of female bodily autonomy, making it a powerful representation of the stakes of this election.

The rally will highlight voices from across the issue of reproductive rights to highlight the imperative of voting to protect this agency.
